2007 Porsche Cayman, 2.7L flat 6cyl, 245hp, 5 speed manual, Only 2866lbs, 0-60mph 5.4sec, 162mph top speed
Freshly serviced and only needs a new owner
Porsche equips the Cayman with a 2.7-liter version of the company’s iconic flat-six, that now has the company’s variable intake valve timing and lift system. The result is a peak output of 245 horsepower at 6500 rpm and 201 pound-feet of torque available between 4600 and 6000 rpm. The car’s throttle response is instant with a surge of power at all RPMs. When pressing on the Cayman, you notice the playfulness at higher RPMs and that lends an impression of a car with a usable rpm range, that wants you to have fun.
The 987 chassis is very ridged, making for an exciting experience on every corner. This is where it really shines. The MID ENGINE layout allow for aggressive turn in and a controlled slide at the limit. The tires have 30 miles on them and are new Continental DWS(Dry, Wet, Snow) and provide confident traction in all conditions.
The most surprising part its the value of these sports cars. It is 90% of a 911s performance at less than half the price. You’re getting a lot of a 911s interior and sharing its door panels, but none of the wild snap over steer Porsche has been trying to tune out of the 911s for nearly 60 years.
